I wonder if the move to god worship is also tied to the droughts, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes which happened in the middle east region and (to my understanding also tied to the bronze age collapse) . If nature (the sacred feminine) is unstable and hostile to humans in its cycles, then they people thought it cannot be tamed nor trusted and moved to a more logical masculine god who has rules, laws and can set order to the feminine chaos. Thus choosing the way of subordinating nature and paving way to science and logic as means of survival within a hostile nature environment
