not true, it's Ela or Elah, the feminine word for El

Anat, Lotan, and Ester (Ishtar) are still common names in Israel.

Baal is the common word for husband, which mean owner.

So many of the Canaanite names are common folks' names.

Anat is also similar to the story of bloodthirsty Shekmet the lioness goddes
