God is the Heavenly Father and Goddess is the Earthly Mother
If Goddess is True then Monotheism is False
I have been listening to atheists and apologists debate each other in circles for years, neither side can definitively win. It is easy to disprove Biblical literalism, but no one disproves God in the mystical sense.
I would like to offer a different debate.
The Earthly Mother is the mate, match, and equal to the Heavenly Father and the Bible tells the story of their divorce.
It is much easier to prove the existence of Mother Earth than to prove the existence of God.
If Goddess is true then monotheism is false.
--
We can trace the traditions of the Heavenly Father across cultures as far back as we have writing and civilization, and we can trace the traditions of the Earthly Mother back even farther, into the Ice Age.
The Bible tells the story of the divorce of Goddess from God, but she never went away.
Everything we are fighting about in today's culture wars can be traced back to the religious wars of the past when the Earth Mother traditions were repressed and persecuted.
Feminism, environmentalism, egalitarianism, sexual freedom, cannabis and psychedelics, transgendered priests, and even abortion were all accepted parts of life in the Goddess temples and were utterly normal for thousands of years.
The logic of monotheism requires that Goddess does not exist.
Any of the traditions that remind us of her must be repressed. This is why we fight over sex, drugs, death, the role of women in society, and our relationship to nature.
--
If we can establish the theological reality of Goddess, the Earth Mother, the feminine divine, then that means that monotheism is not true.
Christians and Muslims can claim no God-given authority over any of the issues we disagree about because Goddess has a contrary opinion.
Goddess Earth Mother renders Christian and Muslim authority broken.
Shattered like glass.
--
Goddess was with God at Creation in the Bible.
the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the Waters.
--
Many ancient cultures believed the primordial first mover of creation was a Goddess, a chaotic sea that was the virgin mother of Heaven and Earth and who gave birth to all of the Universe.
Mesopotamians were at the root of the Biblical traditions and they called the primordial mother Nammu in the earliest stories from Sumer. Later, the Babylonians called her Tiamat and gave her a new creation story in the Enuma Elish. Later still, the Hebrews eliminated her name in Genesis but her presence remained.
This primordial mother was all alone so she was a virgin, she gave birth to her own husband, she is the Virgin Mother of God and Earth.
She is the Waters present in Genesis.
The great Joseph Campbell taught us this in his book, “Goddesses.”
--
God the Creator of the Universe brought order from the Chaos.
Goddess is the Chaos, the waters from which all was born.
The Big Bang was a Big Birth.
--
Sophia is the name for Wisdom, which is another aspect of the feminine divine.
In Proverbs, King Solomon wrote how Wisdom guided God’s hands as he laid the foundations of the world.
Sophia sprouts directly from the Godhead, similar to how Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom was born fully grown directly from the skull of Zeus, the king of the gods.
--
Doesn't Wisdom call out?
Doesn't Understanding make her voice heard?
“The Lord made me
at the beginning of His creation,
before His works of long ago.
I was formed before ancient times,
from the beginning, before the earth began.
I was born
when there were no watery depths
and no springs filled with water.
I was delivered
before the mountains and hills were established,
before He made the land, the fields,
or the first soil on earth.
I was there when He established the heavens,
when He laid out the horizon on the surface of the ocean,
when He placed the skies above,
when the fountains of the ocean gushed out,
when He set a limit for the sea
so that the waters would not violate His command,
when He laid out the foundations of the earth.
I was a skilled craftsman beside Him.
I was His delight every day,
always rejoicing before Him.
I was rejoicing in His inhabited world,
delighting in the human race.
“And now, my sons, listen to me; those who keep my ways are happy.
Listen to instruction and be wise;
don’t ignore it.
Anyone who listens to me is happy,
watching at my doors every day,
waiting by the posts of my doorway.
For the one who finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord,
but the one who misses me harms himself;
all who hate me love death.”
--
Sophia is the wife of God in many traditions.
--
People have been worshipping Goddess forever, the Earth Mother is the living, breathing, web of life. Every culture has its own depictions of her.
--
The monotheistic faiths deny the divinity of Mother Earth, yet there she is in the Bible.
The Biblical writers condemn the Goddess and her traditions, but their condemnations are evidence of her existence.
--
The Earth is our Mother.
These magic words render monotheism a false theology.
Not because God isn’t real, but because God is not alone.
Hey Ed, how you doing?
You're associating Goddess with waters, but what about Spirit of God? In my opinion God and Spirit of God are not the same, personally I associate this Spirit with Goddess and see her as builder of material universe when God is like an architect, this is how I read Genesis 1 and Proverbs 8. Sethian Gnostics had Barbelo who's God's first emanation and source of all, Gnostics in general associated feminine with material and masculine with spiritual.
Look at this Quqite myth:

Personally I disagree with your theory that Abraham supposedly sacrificed Isaac to El and later Yahweh was added as a hero. Maybe Yahwists tried to put that in this way, because as you know they demonized other gods except their own, I think those Greek writers were just confused as both El and Baal were associated with bulls.
Check out this hymn:

Greek equivalent of El is Uranus rather than Cronos just like Yam's equivalent is Pontus who was replaced by Poseidon btw.

Your talk with Jacob about El and Yahweh has over 100k views now, so congrats bro.
